Monkey D. Luffy Painted by Acet

A tribute figure of Monkey D. Luffy, 3D-printed and then entirely hand-painted by the artist Acet. The piece comes off the printer as separate elements — body, head, hat, hands — each sanded and primed on its own, then painted in acrylics before assembly: that is what makes it possible to reach inside a sleeve or under the hat brim, places no brush can get to once the figure is put together. The face goes last, fine-tipped, line by line. A 3D print is only as good as its finish: here the paint is the whole difference between a copy and a one-off. Fan-made, not for sale.
